On Thursday March 31st, a tragic event took place at Tanglewood Middle School in Greenville, South Carolina that resulted in the death of a seventh-grade student.

Grace Bible Church is located directly across the street from Tanglewood Middle School. We have endeavored to respond to this tragedy in part by hosting our “Tanglewood Prayer Vigil” the following evening. An informal prayer meeting was also held on Thursday evening. We, like so many members of the larger community, were grieved by what occurred on Thursday.

Going forward, we are committed to helping the members of the Tanglewood community in any way that we can. Our hearts to go out to everyone who has been and will continue to be impacted by this tragedy.

We would also like to express our deep gratitude and respect for all the members of the school community for the hard work that they are continuing to do.

We would also like to request a reasonable level of media privacy for our own church community as we seek to move forward in the days and weeks ahead.
